Pissed Off About Your Traffic Ticket?

Written by Gregory Monte.

Beating the System

You got a traffic ticket, you’re pissed off, you want to fight it – but you don’t even know where to begin.

If this describes your current state of mind, then take a moment to read about what I discovered after spending three months attempting to find a sure-fire way to win in court.  My son proved that my strategy worked – he won his case in the Wayne County, PA Court of Common Pleas.

My ultimate goal is to see hundreds (thousands?) of fellow citizens clog up the traffic ticket courts by contesting their unfair tickets.  But I don’t want them to just show up and waste time, which is why I am providing the information that you will find in this blog post.  I highly doubt that most lawyers have done as much research on traffic tickets as I have, and I want this all to be available to as many people as possible.

There is one catch, however …

You have to be pissed-off enough like I was to be willing to represent yourself in court.

It may seem daunting at first, but when you have a solid case to support your position, the rush you will get from beating the system will be addictive.  You will almost look forward to your next ticket, just so you get another chance to put the powers that shouldn’t be in their rightful place.

The powers that shouldn’t be expect you to be a proper little sheep (i.e. a “good” citizen), accept your fate, pay your ticket, and move along.

Screw that and screw them – you intend to have the last laugh.

The Traffic Ticket Defense Method

At the end of this blog post you can find links to all of my free PDFs to help fight tickets, but I want to provide some links to other posts that I have written which will show that my strategy can tackle all types of tickets.

My strategy depends on finding “technicalities” in the motor vehicle statutes that enable you to beat a ticket – even if you actually ARE guilty.  Check out the following links for examples of several types of traffic infractions that have technicalities.  Even if they are not examples from the state you actually live in, the strategy can be applied anywhere in the U.S.  More importantly, they show you how you need to approach a ticket if you want to beat it.

Disclaimer and Final Point

I should state right up front that I am not an attorney, so please do not consider anything that I write to be legal advice in any sense of the term. I am just a regular citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who got pissed off after my son received an unfair stop sign ticket in September of 2018.  I spent several hours searching the internet for suggestions about how to fight it and then came to the realization that most of what is available out there is essentially useless information.

But there was a silver lining in all of this wasted effort.  My frustration at not being able to find any useful resources on the internet inspired me to create the website TrafficTicketDefenseBlog.com.  I can now offer fellow citizens hope for some kind of justice in the courtroom – no matter how much they think the odds are against them.  My 17-year old son was able to beat his ticket based on the information that I discovered and I am confident that it will be useful to you also.

Applying the Traffic Ticket Defense Method to Challenge a Citation.

This is a seven-page, detailed explanation of my three-step method for challenging any traffic ticket. I use the “Driving at a Safe Speed” statute from Pennsylvania to illustrate this method, but it can be applied to any other statute that you might be cited for in the vehicle code.

In addition, no matter what state you live in, the procedure is the same: you need to understand the statute you allegedly violated, look for technicalities in that statute and (most importantly) find case law to support/reveal those technicalities.
