I am writing this post as a follow-up to one I did last week about how more and more people are speeding on low-traffic roads (compliments of the corona virus): More Corona Virus Times – Speeding is all the rage now, it appears….
Well, according to the New York Time, the “Cannonball Run” speed record was just broken:
Whoosh! That Car That Just Soared by Might Be Heading for the Coast
“Averaging more than 100 miles per hour over nearly 3,000 miles of the nation’s epically uncrowded highway system, the car arrived at an oceanside hotel in Redondo Beach, Calif., less than 27 hours later. The car and its three-person crew, none of whom have yet revealed themselves publicly, easily broke the record for driving from New York to Los Angeles …”
I am sure this will not be the last article I find about speeding and the corona virus.

This particular strategy will almost always work, but it does depend on one aspect of the circumstances surrounding your ticket. This is a seven-page, detailed explanation of my three-step method for challenging any traffic ticket. I use the “Driving at a Safe Speed” statute from Pennsylvania to illustrate this method, but it can be applied to any other statute that you might be cited for in the vehicle code.
In addition, no matter what state you live in, the procedure is the same: you need to understand the statute you allegedly violated, look for technicalities in that statute and (most importantly) find case law to support/reveal those technicalities.
